Technology, work, economics, politics and the environment are changing the conditions of everyday life. But tomorrow will not be experienced in the same way everywhere.
For people with Albinism, change can open new doors while creating forms of exclusion we have not yet named. Looking ahead is how we become more ready: able to notice opportunity, recognise risk and act before the moment has passed.
This year’s lens
AI is changing how people learn, work, create, communicate and connect. As it becomes part of everyday life, what happens to the human part?
What new opportunities could it create?
What new barriers could appear?
How might people with Albinism experience these changes differently across countries and communities?
Future By Us is a place to explore those questions together—not to be told there is one correct answer. We will also look beyond AI, following the social, technological, economic, environmental and political changes moving around it.
The Future By Us experience
Every week connects real stories, practical ways to think ahead and honest conversation across cultures. None of the three sits on the edge of the programme; each changes how the others are understood.
Established people with Albinism will join us live to speak about barriers they have navigated, careers they have built, opportunities they have created and the communities they have helped move forward.
Their stories may touch on limiting beliefs, personal brand, disruption, community vision and becoming an agent of change. Each guest arrives with a different life—not a polished formula.
Futures Thinking is the programme’s learning pillar. It offers practical ways to look beyond today, explore what could happen next and make better decisions in the present.
You do not need to be a futurist or researcher. The goal is to begin developing anticipatory leadership: the habit of preparing and acting with greater awareness, rather than only responding after change has happened.
You might meet someone facing a familiar challenge in a completely different social or economic context. You may discover that an issue you thought belonged to your country exists elsewhere—or encounter a response you had never considered.
Across five continents, participants will compare experiences, challenge assumptions, share ideas and imagine possibilities together. This is not networking. It is the chance to know people whose realities are different from yours, and perhaps make a genuine friend who lives on another continent.
How it comes together

We begin by unsettling what seems certain. Then, week by week, we learn to notice change, follow its possible consequences and bring what we see back into the choices we can make now.
We begin with the ideas we have inherited: what seems possible, what feels fixed and whose version of the future we have learned to accept.
You will learn to pay closer attention to developments and early signals that could affect your community.
Together, we follow those signals forward. What might change next—and who could experience the consequences differently?
There is rarely only one future. This week opens room to explore several ways life could unfold.
You will bring future insights back to the present and consider what can be started before a challenge becomes urgent.
We reflect, celebrate the community we have made, and carry its questions, friendships and possibilities beyond the programme.

That is exactly why we need a global conversation. Learning alongside people who live in different places reveals what a single perspective can miss—and makes every question more interesting.
Different realities do not divide the conversation. They deepen it.
Who should join?
Future By Us is for young people with Albinism who are curious about what is changing, care about their communities and are willing to learn alongside people from different countries and cultures.
You might be a student, young professional, entrepreneur, advocate, creative, researcher or community organiser. You might not use any of those words for yourself yet.
No Futures Thinking experience required.
No AI expertise required.
No leadership title required.
You do not need to arrive knowing everything. You just need to be willing to explore.
